Tournament Game Play Rules

The designated player picks rules with the following guidelines:

1. 5 minute timer unless otherwise mutually agreed

2. Any combination from the game's rules/variations menu

3. Extra ipc's, units and/or bid (bid negates picking sides) is allowed.
   The player that makes the rules doesn't get to bid first/pick sides.

4. Default ipc victory conditions for both axis (84) and allies (110). However, both parties may mutually agree on other victory conditions.

You must register to participate in these tourneys

Sgt. Major Tourney: This tourney decides which members will be the Sgt. Major of WAR (SMW) and the top enlisted player for each branch. To participate members must be enlisted and have completed at least 10 games. Stats at the time tourney brackets are made are used to establish tourney criteria. Priority for seating in the tourney is given to the current SMW and eligible participants with the most games played. There will be 7 slots in the tourney. 1 is for the current SMW (bye 1st round) and the other 6 are for challengers. If the current SMW isn't in the tourney then there are 8 slots in the tourney. How members place in the tourney will decide who's the new SMW (winner of tourney) and who's the top enlisted of each branch (top finisher of each branch). Match ups are based on skill (high vs. low).

Colonel & Major Tourney: This tourney is the same as above with the exception of the ranks being battled for (only the ranks of Colonel and Major of WAR are at stake, not the Colonel(s) or Major(s) of each branch) and qualification criteria. Applicants that are officers (1400+ skill) and at least 10 games played may be seated in the tourney. Seating priority is given to those that have the most games played. The 1st place finisher in the tourney shall be the Colonel and the 2nd place finisher the Major of WAR.

General Tourney: This tourney is the same as above with the exception of the ranks being battled for and qualification criteria. Applicants with the highest skill levels will be seated in the tourney.

* If any of the above tourneys have more applicants than slots. Applicants with at least one (1) valor point will have seating priority over applicants that don't have at least one (1) valor point in addition to the criteria listed above.

To register simply reply, including your username, to the post in the forum's tournament section. When it's announced applications are being accepted. Tourney applications are only accepted when it's noted that the club is doing so in the WAR forum. ALL prospective tourney participants must properly register, as mentioned above, including the GOW, Colonel, and SMW. You will be placed in the tourney you qualify for on the registration deadline date.

No medals are awarded for participation, winning, and/or running-up in these tournaments. The marquee ranks are the rewards.
