Feb 01 2005 War Club relaunches on 01 March 05 with the New
Council of War (CaptNimmo, Air_Power, Badactorian and Mr Bomber). All
rates reset. Joining by invitation only. Usual monthly tournament while
there will also be a tournament every 3 months on a league basis
between players of each of the 4 branches. |
| The War Club is the original Axis & Allies cd-rom club. We support live, cd-rom, and play by email (pbem) forms of gaming. As a member of the Club you pick or will be assigned a branch to
join: Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines. Club play and rules are simple allowing for great head
to head competition. Play other club members in games with any rules and/or variations
(including personal scenarios & versions like Iron Blitz, Europe and Pacific). The way this may
be done is to have one player pick the rules and options and the other pick sides. Both players post the match before beginning the battle. Then once the game is completed the winner reports the victory and the defeated member gets an automatic email confirmation of the reported game
results. Both players' skill levels are affected based on their skill level, opponent's skill
level and who won. Stats are updated real-time with the ranking tables being update every few
hours. A member's ranking is based on the sum of their skill, valor, and awards. Participants in
WAR earn rank based on their rating and/or tournament results.
The War Club is an invitation only club.
Generally, membership is accomplished by having two active club members
nominate a potential member in the club's forum. Then if the War Council approves
the new member they will be notified. |
